about
Jeneca Klausen is a jewellery artist based in Saint John, New Brunswick. Her work is inspired by the natural and unseen world, shaped by intuition, asymmetry and minimalist design. Influenced by coastal landscapes and organic forms, her pieces embrace imperfection and unusual shapes to evoke unexpected beauty. She works with recycled 925 sterling silver, often melting down scraps from past projects to create new sheet metal. This process of renewal is central to her practice where alchemy and transformation are used to reduce environmental waste. Gemstones are sourced slowly and in small quantities. Rough crystals, beach stones, vintage fragments, and both cut and uncut gems are central to her aesthetic – materials that evoke a story with energetic resonance, existing between adornment and natural artifact.
